MASA began in mid-2013 as a culinary experiment between two friends. The closed door project sought out the balance between original dishes based in Mexican cooking and a friendly and accessible atmosphere. Once a week, eight strangers enjoyed a four course meal around a shared table.
As of late 2016, MASA has moved out of the private home experience to a pop-up project that hosts regular events in various restaurants across the city. Each event is a unique collaboration that reflects both the philosophy and cooking styles of MASA and the chosen restaurant.
